AMORAIM
AMORAIM is a South African electronic music veteran whose sets range from ambient and dub to high-energy psychedelic sound.
About AMORAIM
He began making recordings at around 10 years old and released an early African ambient space music project in 1985. His first dub and reggae DJ set followed at The Base in 1988, and he released 20 titles between 1985 and 1995.
From 1997 to 1999, AMORAIM was a resident psychedelic DJ at the original Getafix. In 2001 he released Africa in Trance, described as South Africa's first psytrance CD, and helped bring Skazi to South Africa under Transgression.
Across more than 400 sets, his music has ranged from ambient to 177 BPM dark psy, with 170 titles released through Microdot Records. His next 145–150 BPM psychedelic release is planned for Earthdance 2026.
