Heart

Heart opened the journey through warmth, community, conversation and place.

The first gathering took place at Love in a Bowl in Hout Bay: a living community space rooted in food, care, learning and local connection. It was a family-friendly day that brought people together gently and reminded us that Earthdance is not only about the final festival weekend. It is also about the relationships that make that weekend meaningful.

Heart gave the year its emotional grounding. It was a real meeting point between communities — and it set the tone for everything that follows: Earthdance grows through relationship, not only promotion.

Beat

If Heart grounded the journey, Beat raises the pulse.

Beat is the night chapter: rhythm, movement, dancefloor energy and Sonic Horizon spirit. It carries the music more directly and brings a stronger sense of momentum as we move deeper into the season — a dancefloor-focused gathering rooted in trance, psytrance, rhythm, movement and connection.

Beat is not separate from Earthdance. It is one of the ways the journey gathers force on the way to September.

Humanity

Humanity gathers the threads.

After Heart and Beat, this chapter brings the journey back into a wider sense of togetherness, expression and shared humanity. It is the point where the emotional, musical and communal parts of the path begin to converge before the main September gathering.

Earthdance

From 18–20 September 2026, the journey arrives at Kromrivier Farm.

This is the main gathering: a multi-day camping festival shaped by music, participation, gathering spaces, market life and the shared rhythm of community in spring.

At its centre is the Prayer for Peace at 01:00 SAST on Saturday 19 September, when Earthdance communities around the world link up in a synchronised global moment.

That is the heartbeat at the centre of everything.
