Earthdance Cape Town 2026 is operated by Soulstream Festivals Pty. Ltd. In POPIA terms, we are the responsible party for the personal information we collect and decide how to use.

Information connected to tickets, forms, marketing and operations
Contact details
Name, email address, phone number, social handle, city, and similar information you provide when you contact us, join a mailing list, or complete a form.
Ticketing and order data
Ticket type, order details, attendance status, and related booking records handled through Quicket or another platform we appoint from time to time.
Application and participation data
Information submitted through vendor, volunteer, collaborator, or similar forms, including offering details, staffing details, and operational notes.
Technical and usage data
Basic website logs, browser/device data, referral pages, IP address, campaign interaction data, and limited technical requests made when your browser loads site assets such as externally hosted fonts. We may also use cookies, analytics tools, and tracking pixels.
Where you choose to provide health, accessibility, dietary, or similar sensitive information, we will only use it for the relevant operational purpose you supplied it for.
To run the gathering and stay in touch about it
- To sell and administer tickets, bookings, applications, and event participation.
- To communicate event updates, practical information, access details, schedule changes, and customer support.
- To market Earthdance, related warm-up events, and future offerings by email, SMS, social retargeting, or similar channels where lawful.
- To coordinate with venues, service providers, crew, and operational partners where needed to deliver the event.
- To measure website and campaign performance, improve our communications, and understand what people engage with.
- To meet legal, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, and contractual obligations.
Under POPIA, we rely on a mix of consent, performance of a contract, legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in running and promoting Earthdance responsibly.
Third parties who help us run tickets, marketing and the event itself
- Ticketing and payment platforms. We use Quicket and may use other ticketing or campaign platforms from time to time. Payment card data is processed on those third-party systems, not on this website.
- Marketing partners and agencies. We may share relevant contact and campaign data with third-party agencies or specialists assisting us with email, paid media, CRM, audience building, and related marketing work.
- Venues and event partners. Where contractually required or operationally necessary, we may share attendee or campaign information with venues or production partners for clearly defined event or marketing purposes.
- Operational service providers. Form tools, hosting providers, analytics providers, mailing tools, external font/CDN providers, designers, production systems, and similar operators processing data on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and authorities. Accountants, lawyers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or others where required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
Third-party platforms and operators process personal information under their own terms as well as our instructions where applicable. Quicket's own privacy and legal terms are available through its help centre.
What else POPIA expects us to be clear about
Direct marketing
We may send promotional communications about Earthdance and related events. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time, and you can object to direct marketing by contacting us.
Cookies and pixels
We may use cookies, analytics tags, ad pixels, and similar tools to understand traffic and improve campaigns. If we implement non-essential tracking, we should give users a clear notice and choice mechanism.
External fonts and asset delivery
This site currently loads some fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive technical data such as your IP address, browser details, and request metadata in order to deliver the font files.
Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside South Africa. Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, then delete, anonymise, or archive it where appropriate. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.

Because Earthdance is an adults-only event, we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for ticketing or attendance. If we learn that we hold personal information relating to a child inappropriately, we will address it as quickly as we can.
